How To Set Up A Vacuum For Cleaning A Swimming Pool

A safe and healthy swimming experience depends on the cleanliness of your pool. You can keep your pool looking its best by frequently vacuuming it. The following instructions will show you how to set up a vacuum to clean your swimming pool:

  1. Assemble your hoover hose together and fit the right fitting to one end. Before connecting it, make sure the fitting’s size corresponds to the intake port on your pump.
  2. Make sure the return side of the hose is securely fastened to the bottom drain before inserting it into your pool (or skimmer baskets, if applicable).
  3. The opposing end of the hose should be connected to a telescoping pole, which you should position in front of your water intake valve or pump basket. To ensure that it doesn’t come free while being vacuumed, this should be firmly fastened.
  4. Once your pump is powered up, water will start to drain from your pool through the hoover hose and out of your pool.
  5. Starting in one corner of the pool, slowly work your way around, making sure to remove all dirt or debris from one area before moving on to the next.
  6. Detach the telescopic pole from the opposite end of the hose back at its storage point close to our primary filter system or skimmer baskets after vacuuming is finished to turn off your pump (if applicable).
  7. After you’re done, you can disconnect the hose’s two ends from one another, unplug them both, and store them safely until you need them again.
